Which processor would u guys recommend to go with given my system specs. I like the opty myself. Just need some input.

Thats just a hard decision. Two awesome chips. The opty will probably oc better but the 4400+ is about as solid a cpu as you could ask for. Price might be your biggest factor in deciding this. 170 is a bit cheaper and you knwo you will get FX 60 speeds out of it. Wish I had this kid of choice lol.

Go for the opty i had the 4400+ and i just didnt do it for me. Opterons are the way to go

Might want to consider the Opteron 165 too. It may only be 1.8GHz and have a multiplier of 9, but people have been getting some crazy overclocks with them. Just in case you were not aware I thought I would make you so. Search the CPU threads and see what I am talking about.

Edit: Just want to clarify the reason I suggest the 165 to you. With your board you do not have the HTT ceiling others face around 280 HTT. For this reason the 9x mutiplier will not limit your overclock. From what I have seen the 165 and 170 acheive the same frequency levels with the appropriate board. If you did not have the ability to take your HTT past 280 then the 170 would be the better processor just because of the 10x multiplier. Clear as mud?
