DId you reset bios when changeing the chips?? Id suggest resetting the bios on the motherboard and starting from point A and work your way up to Z 2mhz at a time.

Your P4P800-E mainboard has a Promise Fastrak 378 IDE/SATA RAID controller built onboard. If you are not using it then you can disable it in your bios. If you are using the ICH SATA or IDE controllers and not the Promise controller you don't need it in your active memory.

This would have nothing to do with the overclock unless you have drives on this SATA controller as it can produce data corruption but this is usually when you have not locked in your AGP/PCI bus. You have locked in your AGP/PCI bus?

Edit: If you are new to overclocking then we can start the overclock from the ground up.

You have a C(0) stepping Prescott. This was the first release of Prescott and is by far the worst overclocking processor and the most heat producing one.

It is not a good processor to hope for a maximal overclock.
