Someone suggested the card may be unstable, but it's at stock, I downloaded Afterburner to try and add more voltage, but the voltage option is blacked out (maybe it's locked on a reference card? I don't know)
I'm trying to get it fixed, but if I start it folding it's pretty much freezing so I don't know what to do. frown.gif

If you fold SMP, its best not to fold with GPU as it lowers the PPD....

Your PSU or motherboard might be dieying, my friend has this issue aswell.

I'm not folding with the GPU, haven't done so for weeks, but the problem seemed to start with the GPU, unless the bad folding is also a symptom of the same problem.

Is there any way I could diagnose if it's either of them?

I'm also getting weird minor problems with Google Chrome like the tabs will disappear and the theme of the window seems to be messing up, i.e. going from transparent to block colour.

Seriously, if I where you I wouild back up all my data and do a clean reinstall windows. You have an issue that goes deeper than folding and your OC.

As in a virus? Or do you mean the OS could be corrupted?

Not a virus. More like you have some corruption isues with windows. You have to many issues and you seem to get a new one every week. I would also suggest running chkdsk to make sure your HDD is still in good shape.

Chkdsk sad there's nothing in bad sectors, not sure what should pop up if something is wrong.

And it starts with something as random as clicking on a different tab in Windows and the window doesn't actually change, then it starts slowing down, then when you refresh a page in Chrome the theme of the window messes up and that's about it.

It's working fine at the moment, but I'm going to start up a game and see if it forces the GPU driver to crash again.

EDIT: Yep, the GPU driver crashes whenever I get into a game, could the problem just be the GPU?

EDIT 2: Just tried running Vantage to rule out the game being the problem, same result, the driver crashes forcing the program to crash. Also just tried watching a video full screen to see if that did anything (I know it's not intensive but meh) and nothing happened.

GPU or RAM, could be thier, even memory or PSU...

My friend had same symptoms, we swapped: Ram, PSU, gpu. I think its his mobo.

Running MemTest now, but there isn't really a way to test the GPU (other than stress testing) or PSU is there?
Update: The GPU seems to be dying, the only game I could get to work for long enough to see the effects of the GPU was Minecraft, and I think I'm getting considerable artifacting.

I'm not sure if the GPU will make it until the end of the month, so you may need to look for a replacement ASAP (no inbuilt GPU so I can't fold without it).

Sorry guys. frown.gif

just double-checked my OC, core rev, updated HFM and scrapped the unit it was on because it was saying 2 days - and no WU takes that long on this card. We'll have to wait and see if that actually does anything now.

[edit] those fixes all appear to have worked. It's currently reporting 135k ppd.
