Epic i7/480 Micro build or bust?

I am planning a new build soon. I like small and portable with plenty of power for the latest DX11 games. So don't hold back on helping me decide.

Very Sexy. I Would Look Into Replacing That Hard Drive With A Samsung Spinpoint F3 1TB. Its 74.99 And Faster Than The Caviar Blacks

I really like this build. I would consider dropping the $300 930 processor for a cheaper alternative. The price on the 480 is not bad considering it's a retail store, but I think it is possible to find one cheaper online. I am a big fan of Corsair PSU's, but the one in your build is pricey even with the rebate. Check around for different PSU's because they are often heavily discounted online.

All of these tips are just to save a buck, there is absolutely nothing wrong with that build and it will

edit: Frys has the core i5 760 for ~$160 in store. I realize this is a different socket but the performance is similar. You would also give up the triple channel ram, but most tests show the triple channel having only a slight performance advantage over dual channel.

I am a fan of mATX too. Just make sure you get plenty of airflow over that 480 or it'll cool in that small case.

That'll be an awesome rig, but maybe you want to wait a tad longer and get the Corsair H70? HardOCP says it works a little bit better. Otherwise, I wouldn't change anything.

Fantastic idea man. I think I will hold off for it!

Well, I thought about that too, but I think I have decided on the i7, but I love your feedback!

Thank you man! I am gonna look into this. I chose WD for the simple reason that I have always used them and never had a hiccup, but I will check out this Spinpoint.
