Newbie's first try---Need help!

Thread Starter
This is what i've managed so far,

CPU 2640 Mhz and Ram 220 Mhz on 2.5-2-2-5 , i've not adjusted my volt's in any-way, neither have i experienced any stability problems.

What would you guys say should i try to push it futher.

Full Load temps are 32 C , Gigabyte Neo Cooler.

Thanks

Yes it can be pushed fruther mate like said abve push it a little more in small increments also keep watching your temps and eventaully remember you may have to add a little more Voltage to your CPU and ram eventually.

Definately up the vdimm for more RAM speed/stability as you go and it's memory controler may want a lil bump too! Set your HT or RAM's multiplyer to 4x for up to a 250MHz HTT and above that drop to 3x.
As said, a little more on the vcore will be necassary as you move up!
Very Nice OC BTW... your getting along very well

Do you know what stepping your 4000 is?

You definetely have a nice start! Your ram is keeping some tight timmings for sure being PC3200 and running @ 220 You may need to loosen the timmings a bit when you go higher than 230 on the FSB.

My ram is 2-3-2-5 and @ 255 FSB I had to either run a divider or loosen the timmings to 2.5-3-3-6 to run it @ 255

CPU-Z says my stepping is 1 does that say anything?

Do you think i sould loosen the timmings and push my ram futher to get my FSB up to 1000 FSB currantly its 230*4 = 920 MHz.

If so should i set the multi to 11 cause it will hit 3.0 GHz if i dont.

BTW i've uped y mem volt to 2.8 and the OCZ's are loving it!

The only way to find your stepping is to look on the IHS of the CPU.

You can go up to 250x4 on your HT I would use an 11 multiplier if that is what gets you to your goal. You will have to try a few different ways and when you get to your goal, use the way that is most stable.
