2 extra hard drives

Thread Starter
I have an Antec p-180 case and 2 extra hard drives I would like to put in there. Only problem is I cant figure out how to mount them in the lower hard drive cage. The lower cage is for 3.5 drives which they are but you would almost have to mount them sideways. I have looked on antecs site for further documentation and cannot find any but the technical drawing. Any ideas?

just slide it in there, makes it alot easier than in a case were the harddrive rack is not sideways.

The cage should actually come out of the case as far as I know. There should be a screw or thumbnut that you loosen and then pull out the cage. Then you mount the drive in it with screws like normal, then re-install the cage in the case.

The only reaosn I don't like the sideways HD cages is sometimes, certain cases, it will kink and bend the wires and connectors against the side panel. But overall, it's a much nicer design, as you can check jumpers and connections by just pulling off the panel.
