Ok, long day, everything up and running. Ecstatic with idle temps across the board. CPU cores, 27-29 on real temp. And best of all, All three GPU temps at 29-31 at idle! THe fermi beast get cooled Couple of small thing, like a dork, I forgot to order a card reader. So, im going to go to Best buy and get an external till i can get one ordered. Also, I used the 256 Corsair SSD from my old dell, and the BIOS is not picking up my WD SATA 3 Drive, nor my Merc Series Keyboard or Razr Mamba. Had to grab some old usb crap I had laying around to type this. Sure its a driver thing for KB and mouse, and I have heard the Marvell or whatever driver runs the 6gps ports can be balky. Goijng to clear up that crap, then get some baseline stock temps, and benches run.

More detailed thanks later, but without Pascal, Mas and severala
others this would have been a lot harder. And yes, BTW, I am working off the new rig to post this. Thank again guys for help. More to follow later

Update: Stock 3d Vantage: 37102
CPU Score: 71988
GPU Score:31942 (Seems low, need to check SLI Settings.

MAX CPU temp during Vantage: 41 Degrees
MAX GPU TEMP 44 degrees.

3d Mark 06: 24595

OK, disregard all above stock benchmarks. While moving rig from my workbench to where it will live, one of the GTX 480s loosened enough to show up in control panel, but not as SLI capable in NVIDIA control. It was defaulting to being a dedicated PHYSX card! Once I reseated it, it then was enabled to TRI SLI. BRB, going to rerun those.

Ok, much better:

Stock, 3d Mark Vantage: 44287
GPU Score: 39530
CPU Score: 71021

Stock, 3d Mark 06 24259 (strange almost no change there.)

Stock, PC Mark Vantage: 16,424 (Highest CPU Temp 42, GPU 43

Stock Heaven: (See screen cap)As you can see, pretty respectable with all settings maxed 2560 by 1600. The Min 3 FPS, was right at the beggining. Anyone have any ideas on what would cause that? CPU bottleneck, me thinks.

Dirt 2: Forget it, crappy port, cant get out of watching stupid intro, controls are joypad only I guess, not going to happen right now.

Stock Cinebench: CPU: 8.04 points
Open GL: 42 FPS

Stock Furmark: See screen cap

Going to run Batman too, any other benches anyone would like to see? Once I have this baseline, Im am going to start OClocking.

BTW, updated drivers and mouse, KB and SATA 3 HD all working now.

Those GPU temps are great! I'd like to see your temps with OC, running furmark for 30+ min. What are your watertemps? Mine go over 60C @880/2150 1.125V.

I know I was ecstatic on temps during Vantage and at idle.. Even during vantage they barely budged. But heres a nod to the importance of ambient. I was keeping my room at 65 during those tests. I will run a long furmark test. When I OC them. I as you can imagine have a to do list now for final tidying up.

1. Decided against a card reader. I only use CF anymore, So im going to get a firewire external instead. Leaves a 5.25 open for???

2. Cabling turned out pretty good, little tidying up and zip tying it will be almost perfect. Need to sleeve the Fan cables on the external RADS.

3. I was planning on a drain hose and forgot about ordering parts so i didnt install. Need to do that, and will probably get a water flow/temp monitor at same time as Ill have system open anyway. Once i get pics back and running youll see I have a length of hose at the bottom that will work ideally for both.

4. Ended up using the Swiftech 240 rad externally along with the Black Ice 480 externally and the black ice 360 internal. The fans on the Swiftech rad need to go. Loud as hell. The Scythe S Flex Fs are actually not bad at all. Will use 2 more of them.

5 I replaced the intake case fan with a NB Silent pro and am very impressed. Am going to replace the other 2 Corsair fans with those. Those fans are awesome. come with rubber mounts for fan and rubber grommetts for screws. Also stock with Braided cable. Very vlassy and also quiet at full rpm

That should about do it. Except for the GTX 460 for Physx, and the 2 6gps SATA 3. SSDs in raid 0.

Oh, one more, at the last minute I replaced the Swiftech Apogee XT, with the EK high flow. I also put the least restrictive plate in the EK. I began to worry about how much hardware I was running the water through, (3 video card, 3 radiators, CPU block, a fair amount of hose etc.) and the Apogee is a fairly restrictive block. Idle temps are only idle temps, but I think it was a good move. We will see once I begin OCing.

Ok, ambient here was about 77.... that explains a bit. It'll take a few minutes for your water to heat up.My Gpu waterloop heats up to 40C/104F.
As for the extra bay you have left, mount 1 of these.http://www.highflow.nl/aansluitingen...ay-blauw-.html

Comes with in-line temperature sensor, this way you can keep an eye on watertemps!

Sorry if you answered this already, but from everything I've read, an extra card for Physx won't help if your graphics cards can already handle it. The example I read was if adding a 260 to 2x 470s would help and the answer was not at all. I would say then that not only is a 460 overkill for a PhysX card, but that 3x 480s will be more than enough. YMMV

Welcome to OCN, you may have noticed that there is no such thing as overkill here....If you have room, stack your slots!!

Thanks Ok I used the wrong word. Using 460 as a PhysX is overkill and that's ok. I guess my point is that using a PhysX when you have 3x 480 might just be 100% pointless because the 480s on 3-way sli would be able to handle it already.
