2 of the best cpu coolers (pricing is $AU from AUS - but you get the idea)

I would not recommend the cooling path you've chosen - it'll be an unnecssry cost

Just stick with OEM cooling or get some cheap aftermarket cooling and then move onto a full blown watercooling

If you have Aywun coolers in the USA the V10 for AU$40 (or around US$30 or less considering we have hardware more expensive here - the i7 980x costs $1500 :0 and yes ppl buy it... and yes some ppl buy it for gaming)
I don't think you get whats going on. Sorry if I sound rude, but that sounds like whirlpool mentality.

He obviously doesn't care about the cost, just look at his rig.

He is planning on doing all of that with the cooling because he enjoys all of this. It's not about "best bang for your buck"

Thread Starter
Hi, all, got the rest of my stuff ordered friday, 12 gigs corsair dominatorMemory, 3 gtx 480s, 3 ek waterblocks 2 radiators, (a 480 and a 360) some wiring to replace the fugly stuff that came with the strider. I was palanning on using the Micro res and 655, but there is no really good place to put the 655. I did see an acrylic resivoir that also doubles as a housing for the pump. Anyone ever use this? Thoughts? Also I installed the apogee xt. Kind of a *****. I dont want to reverse the top plate, but with out doing so, my half inch hose alone is tight. I was able to get 2 hose clamps on, barely. I wanted to use compression fitting but thats out, no way they will fit with out reversing top plate.. BTW, I do have some pictures, but not sure how to post them here....

I have the apogee xt. It can be a bit of a tight fit getting the clamps on the barbs, yes. I don't think you can normally fit compression fittings on there without reversing the inlet plate. You won't get as good temps if you do this though.

I also use an XSPC dual bay res that houses my 655. Works fine. People say it is a pain to bleed, but I didn't really have any issues with it.

I have the XSPC Dual Bay res with pump and it works great. I tied a fillport fitting into the line that feeds the res, this makes it easy to fill without having to remove the res from the bay.

I put a Bitspower Fillport in the top of the case and screw small funnel into the fitting to fill the system. It is easy to use and works.

I don't think there is anything wrong with his posting. If he just edited, then those of us who are subscribed wouldn't get notifications of there being new information.

You don't have to read the thread if you don't like it.
