proccesor
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819103537
card
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130283
mother board
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813130041
and the case
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811145047

this is my first time so i ask for some help from experienced builders, or who have good knowledge of this. and i can scavenge parts from my
dimension 3000.
i ask for suggestions of better products "please keep the price range low" i have a max budget of $500, lower priced is better.

and some feed back if this will work out well or not.
thanks to all who help,

rep will be put out to those who help others

I see that you are looking to build an AMD system, but you may want to consider this:

A dual core setup will be much better than the 3000+. You can easily overclock the Pentium D 805 to about 3.2Ghz on air.

Pentium D 805 $134 (2.66Ghz dual core, 2x 1mb L2, 533Mhz FSB)

Gigabyte GA-8I945P-G $96 (775, 945P, PCIe, DDR2, SATA)

G.SKILL Extreme 1GB DDR2-533 $70

eVGA 7600GT $174
* I am selling my 6800 for $90, it about the same as the 7600GT, but a lot cheaper.

Total: $474
after 3-day shipping: $490.57

You can go a little cheaper and only get 512MB of RAM:
OCZ Gold Series 512MB DDR2-533 $48

You can use your Dell Case, Harddrive, CD-Drive, and maybe your dell powersupply. If you can report to use as to the type of powersupply it has (Watts)

That Powmax case is fine, but the powersupply in it just will not do. It will fry in a month.

This is a much better case / PSU combo. Although it is much more expensive, it will last a lot longer and is made of quality parts.

Antec Solution SLK1650B w/ 350 Watt SmartPower 2.0 $63

Something else to consider:

Thermaltake BigTypoon (Refurbished) $37

your 6800, how close are we talken.
Newegg.com charges tax? I will found some places that don't. Use www.anandtech.com to find the best prices.

The 6800 may out perform it. The 6800 has a 256-bit memory interface, while the 7600GT only has 128bit. The 7600GT has a faster core and memory clocks. Both have 12 pipelines. I am pretty sure that the 6800 is a better card.

Should you get my video card, you can get everything else, plus a good case with a good powersupply.

Here is a comparison:

With my old system (Pentium 4 3.4Ghz, 6800, 1GB of RAM) I played BF2 at highest settings with 60FPS. I played FEAR demo at high settings and it ran smooth (not sure what FPS).

You will be able to play any game with high settings and get good FPS with the 6800. I personnally would rather have the 6800 because of the higher memory interface.

Here is the link to my 6800
