Thread Starter
hey guys, im thinking of getting an evga EE SC gtx 460, and im going to be overclocking it alot. So im thinking of getting an aftermarket cooler. Ive heard evga doesnt mind if you take aaway their heatsink, also, any water coolers for a gtx 470, because I may get that instead

You would have to create a water cooling loop for the gpu. and if you are going to do that you might as well cool the cpu as well. JMO There is no special little water cooler for a gpu like the H50 used for cpu.

A small single loop for the GPU would be cheaper though.

EDIT: It's gonna cost more than the card to do it right, you should be fine with an aftermarket air cooler.

I don't think there are any aftermarket aircoolers out yet for the GTX 460. As everyone else has said, it's probably not worth it to create a WC loop for a single GTX 460. The GF104 chip actually runs pretty cool, so I'd be surprised if you needed to switch coolers at all unless you're going for an extreme OC.

Buy a GTX 460 with aftermarket cooling* I should correct myself, like the MSI Cyclone model.
