Which s754 core is the best for overclocking?

Thread Starter
What socket 754 core is the most overclockable? My bro wants to build himself a system (under $500), so i need some ideas. Or will a socket 939 oc better?

Edit: This is a stupid question, but i'm not too good with A64: can s754 CPUs work in a s939 mobo?

Hi,
I build for about 400$ my system!
with turion64
DFI Lanparty
Crucial ddr500
and 6600GT

and I clocked to 317 x 8 (stock 200 x 8 )

and its faster like an 3700+ or stock turion64 MT-40
I think its the best!

I must ask:
can you clock on your MSI Delta2 ???
My older brother has an MSI Delta2 Platinum and there is not much!
When I use Dynamiy OC then it runs but if I normal OC always it says
driver IRQL and make a physikel ..... !?!?!?!
Now I give him my old ABit NF7-S rev2.0 and it runs perfect

All the sempron 64s OC very well. I am at 280*9 on stock cooling with a room fan beside my computer which only goes on the lowest setting for games, otherwise off with a 3100+, and my bro is at 325*8 with the same cooling as me.

And no, 754 CPUs dont go in a 939 system.

Newark cores are the fastest core availible The other mobile chips are good performers too, but I am pretty sure the 4000+ Newark is the most powerful S754 cpu you can get. They do cost 300$ (@ monarch), but if that is too expensive consider a venice core or an MT mobile.

I'd recomend saving yourself money and getting a Sempron with 256kb of cache and using more money on other things.
