any program to check power supply ?

Thread Starter
Hey guys, I have an overclocked rigs as the follow:
i7 930 4.0 with V6 fan
DDR3 2x3 = 6gb
4870x2 HIS
500gb
and case's one front and one back fans

My power supply wattage is 850w and what my problem is, when I try to play Crysis:Wars or Warhead with high settings, the monitor screen turns on and off to black, and continue to happen like that. So I decided to test my Graphics card and there is a tool called ATi Overdrive to adjust the fan speed and its clocks rates. When I set these settings high, my monitor screen happens the same as I expected.

So my guess is due to my power supply which cannot give enough power to run under full loaded and when I asked to a shop retail, they said 850w is more than enough for any home PC with single graphics at under whatever condition. That's why I am worried about my power supply and want to know whether it's because of my power supply or because of other components(monitor, graphics card, etc..)

Hope you guys can help me!
thanks in advance

850W is more than enough. Period. Assuming it actually can deliver 850W. What's the brand name?

And no software can tell you anything about the power supply. Even voltage monitoring programs are junk, because the readings are generally so inaccurate or imprecise that they're useless.

Antec True Power, but the shop I bought from is just a normal home-sale-retailer which means either they or me cannot guarantee the PSU was in good condition and can deliver as it's described. That's why I am wondering for any software testers.

Anyway, thanks alot for very quick reply !

Your power supply is high quality and plenty for your rig. Unless the power supply is faulty then I suspect the issue lies elsewhere, perhaps an unstable overclock, or overheating.

Antec makes good PSUs I would be skeptical if it were an OCZ or the like but other then that do a wattage test at the wall.
