Not really at all. You level up by increasing your major skills. You can level up simply do using alchemy over and over again without killing a single thing. You will only get an INT multiplier when you level, but you can.

blah getting destruction to 50 is a freaking pain...

Perfect analogy. I take my time, explore every nook and cranny, and it takes me forever to finish.

I just previewed the game with my current system. I am running an AMD 3300 with an x800 pro. It still looked pretty amazing but just slightly choppy. However, I am going to delay starting the game until I get my new rig (fx-60 and 7900 gtx).

Sorry. I should have explained that a little better. I just put the game in to see how it looked. I went roughly 15 min into the game. Then I quit so I wouldn't get addicted. I want to play this game with the new rig.

I completely agree with Vulcandragon I play through games super slow. I also don't build powergaming characters as that is to easy and not really much fun in my opinion. I am currently level 11 after about 22 hours of play. I have done absolutely none of the main quest missions. I haven't even given the amulet to Juaffre. Oh and the guy that said he is the arena champion what level are you? And how hard were the Argonians for you? I found them to be very hard until I got a magical Akaviri sunderblade that destroys weapons and armour in one hit.

What I am doing right now is basically uber..

Dark Elf, Warrior Birth Sign, Custom Class (War Wizard). lvl 8

Major Skills: Alchemy, Athletics, Swords, Heavy Armoy, Alteration, Destruction, Restoration.

2 Handed Swords FTW

Since Dark Elfs get a Destruction Bonus, it only seems right that if I am going destruction, than I should go down all other Will Power spell schools.

Alchemy is the best thing ever in the game, and if you know how to do it well enough you can exploit some serious stuff. Its also the best money maker.

No need to put skills into lock picking because if you have the skills on your own (move mouse and click) then there is no need for focusing on it.

Already cleared out 4 Ayleid Ruins and I got 3k in gold =D, so im a bit loaded and ready to kick some ass! And only 6 hours of play too

Just to let you guys know, forget about the main plot right now, explore all the worlds and ruins and pick up all these side quests. You get tons of items, money and other crap that will help you. Im lvl 8 and the only main plot quest I did was turn in the amulet of kings.

And for the nooblets, you level up by increasing your skills in something, if you did nothing but run around for hours in a circle you will level up because of your athleticism. You get your stat bonus multipliers for the field that you skill up in. Swords = STR, Alchemy = INT, Spells = INT or Will Power, Sneak = AGI, etc....

You can level up just by simply casting the same shield spell over and over again
LOL thats awsome that you can get two handed swords I want that!

i was lvl 10 or so when i became arena grand champion. It really doesn't matter what lvl you are becaues they scale up with you. I just got a lot better at fighting and learning how to use block effectivly. After you are grand champion you get to fight animals that come in 1, 2 or 3, fun stuff.
