I'll give it a try tomorrow morning and keep an eye on the temps, and blow the dust out. I'll post the result ASAP.

I'm closing in on you Khaled! biggrin.gif
post #1673 of 4346
I can't wait for next month to compete with all of you, specially Louze thumb.gif . A competition within the team as an encouragement method.

I just found out that setting the wallpaper (in VM-Ubuntu) to something X-Rated helped my PPD to reach 29K biggrin.gif that's a 2k More PPD hormone secreted !!! lachen.gif

EDIT: Don't ask for screenshots !

EDIT 2: If you examine this graph closely, You will notice that we are already divided into 3 Sub-Sub-Teams of 2: You & Louze, Me & LarsL, Erick & kabj06. Next month I think (and hope) there will be 2 teams within our team (as LarsL just kicked in with some serious points, and My PPD is at it's highest) so we will join you to take over 6th or 5th place next month. Hopefully Kabj buys a 7950 or 7970.

Edit 3: I'll commit suicide if I found out that an I7-3820 is faster than my 3770K at the same Frequency. mad.gif

We've never been stronger, we might dominate next month if we managed to keep folding at the same rate. sonic.gif
My consciousness has stopped eating me alive. *Sigh*
EDIT: I have a question, Ever since I bumped my Vcore from 1.35 to 1.36 - WHEA Error code 19 Almost stopped appearing in the event viewer (from 20 per day to 1 per day). So, should I bump it to 1.365 or 1.37 to Make it rock solid stable ? Note that I test stability depending on FAH only, no Prime95 or IBT. After that, I plan too to lower the PLL from 1.6 to 1.5 to help lower the temps, I heard that it should be left at default (1.8) for stability in high OCs (i don't think 4.7 GHz is high thinking.gif ).

if 1.36 doesn't give you any errors then just stick with it,

if it does give you an occasional error, you can bump it to 1.365

I only got 4 errors since I bumped to 1.36, the last one was 1 day, 15 hours ago.

I am gonna give it a try (1.365) and watch it for a week. If ok, I'll start lowering the PLL as it helps lowering temps, unless it gets unstable.

It's a big voltage gap between 4.6 and 4.7 GHz (1.26 and 1.365 Respectively).

It's been 6 hours since I bumped the Vcore to 1.365, Temps are the same ( I rotated the EVO 90 degrees to blow the hot air towards the top exhaust fans), No errors, and the number of errors this week collapsed from 128 to 91 and still dropping. biggrin.gif

Another good news: We are getting closer to taking over the 6th place and kick "Fluffy Pink Ninjas" in their fluffy pink butts. buttkick.gif

The difference has tighened to be 24,049 Points only, Maybe few hours later we will land there safely.

Looks like you have started to zero in on that sweet spot Khaled. We are definately moving up in the ranks as a team. I think we have finally managed to get the bugs worked out of the ship and will be a force to reckon with next month.
