The Royal Navy: Rising from the Depths - Page 220

Well back when I first got the card the V7 client was reading the GPU as a GF80 card and not the GF114(?) card that it is. I put in a ticket but never saw anything about them fixing it. So I have been running the V6 client without issue.

Well, other than the fact that this card folds like cow dung.

I wish I could help. Hopefully you'll be able to upgrade soon. PM me and let's discuss this more.

There are a lot of 76xx type WUs that even run on different hardware. GPU2, Nvidia, SMP.... there is the 4431 point nvidia beta WU but I haven't gotten one of them in a few days.

Hey Eric, stanford fixed the V7 on the 560SE about a week or two ago. it took a few restarts to get the 560se working on the v7 client but once it updated the 560se will go to town.

I couldn't get the messaging to work so that is why I posted in this thread.

Sorry, another pathetic start to the month. Main rig is undergoing some mods so I'm down to using my folding rig as a main rig. Will try to get folding today though.
I headed to a local retailer today to buy a 7950 Flex, but failed to reach the destination as we found ourselves in the middle of an ongoing riot, and tear gas almost blinded us so we turned around right away and headed back home. My eyes and nose still burn but I'm generally OK, I'll wait till next month and buy 2 cards (I'll be able to run only 1 GPU till I buy a new PSU) . I heard that ATI 8xxx series would be delayed for a few months.

EDIT: I need your help guys, I can't decide between EVGA 660 SC+ 3GB and Sapphire 7950 Vapour X. The price difference is unnoticeable (2000 vs 2300 respectively), so which would serve better in TC (It'll be my spare weapon, Summoned on demand) ?

Things to consider:

- No difference in price
- I'll be buying 2 of either (I love multi GPUs).
- The EVGA Cards run hotter (83°C vs 57°C) but power consumption is less (140w vs 320w).
- I won't need to replace my PSU If I get the 660s, But I don't mind replacing with AX1200 if needed.
- I play Games maxed @ 1080p and will fold on demand exclusively for TC.

Thanks

Watch out, they don't call it the "bleeding edge" for nothing - TC members being assaulted with teargas - I think that violates TC rules...

It's hard to be competitive in the AMD category, so I'd lean towards the other option.

I'd either wait until next month, and aim for a 680, or get a 660 now and another one next month.
