7600GT is better, alot faster when you use Anti Aliasing and thats the key difference between 6 and 7 series
post #5 of 30
I would say the 7600GT.

7600GT. It's cooler and everything! Though the cooling solution stinks...you should spend a little extra and put a better cooler on it

lets see , they both have the same pipes , very close clock speeds .. but the big differnce here is the memory access .. 256 bit is always better than 128

its like the old thing about which is better a regular 6800 or 6600GT .. well i dont see any 6600gts pulling down 13.5k 3dmark03 and 6k 05 marks like my 6800 does .. ( but then again my 6800 has 16 pipes and 6 shaders )

the 7600 is to replace the 6600GT

me , i would get the GS and overclock the piss out of it ... put it this way .. my rig runs bf2 med to high settings and never drops below 60 fps .. with 4xAA

256 bit will help more with AA than faster clock speeds ..

No, the 7600GT performs MUCH better than the 6800GS. . It likely even beats a Ultra by a fair amount, so thats past the 6800GS.
