Well, I think I finally have a suggestion about all this.. I'm not sure if this has been thrown out there yet.
Since, the whole start of this was the complaint that you can have 2X 2600k, but not 2X hex; and essentially based on past months the 2600k's and hex's are pretty close in D1, let's now allow 2x hex's. Make this essentially a temp fix, which will also address a concern down the road.. stay with me here..
It's still a little bit until BD is out, and it will probably be another month or two after release until there are enough folders armed with them to join the TC. Ample time in fact to let teams know and prepare, that when the TC starts to accept BD folders is when the wildcard/i7-2 slot will be disbanded and replaced with the BD slot.
For now, this leaves the changes in the teams and captains hand. You can stay as you are if your doing well, teams that aren't happy with their rankings can then make the choice to upgrade themselves or step aside and let more powerful folders fill their ranks. Point is, and why I think this is the best idea yet is that for now no one has to be kicked off a team, or swapped around to different teams. It gives everyone the opportunity to change if they want to. Perhaps to help keep a spot for the Bloomies in the TC we could let them participate in one of the i7 slots or in the 2500k/x6 slot since they are more comparable to those chips then the high end i7's.
I've always maintained I'm in this for the competition. True competition rarely involves handicaps, or bonus's, it's you, your gear, and your willingness to do all that you can to be the best there is.
Being on a 2x2600k team I think long term this could hurt us, but I think it's better then other options presented thus far.
