I did this with my AMD card and found that the memory does affect the PPD. Off the top of my head (which isn't dependable):
- Stock: ~7400 PPD
- 1030/1100: ~7700 PPD
- 1030/1150: ~7900 PPD
- 1030/1200 ~8000 PPD
- 1030/1250: ~8100 PPD
100 PPD doesn't sound like much to you big folders but it makes a big difference in AMD cat in the end. 100 PPD is 3k PPD in a month.
During this past FaT I folded on two 6970s:
900 on core/1000 on mem -> ~8300 PPD (each)
This is also folding -smp 2 on a quad core simultaneously. Does this number look about right? I had no idea what other AMD cards are getting (until Krusher33 posted
). This is changed from the stock of 880 core, 1375 mem.
