Multithreaded Mayhem! $350 Benchmark competition.

Thread Starter
Time for another competition!
This competition will run from now until the 9th of september 00:01AM GMT
This time we are going for 3 multithreaded benchmarks. There are 5 classes and 3 benchmarks. 1st place in each bench in each class gains 3 points, 2nd 2 and 3rd 1 as usual. You can enter as many classes as you wish.

Classes are split by thread count. X2, x4, x6, x8 and x12+ classes.
Click the images for downloads.
The benchmarks are Cinebench 10.0 (note; only the multithreaded test.)

Geekbench 2.1 32bit

And wprime 1.55 32m

Operating systems are going to play a big part in this competition so let us know what you are running

No unreleased hardware.
All submissions must be formatted and comply with hwbot standards. I.E 2 instances of cpu-z on both the memory and cpu tabs.
Any cheats will be banned from this and future competitions.
If you submit it wrong and someone gives you a big red stamp you can't QQ
You can enter all 5 classes if you can handle it.
No background is required this time, just your user-name in the form of notepad or a watermark. Compare links are required for geekbench. You can upload a score to your account via http://browse.geekbench.ca/geekbench2/offline

Oh and I guess you want prizes?
1st place in each of the 5 classes will take home $50
2nd in each of the 5 classes $20
3rd in each class gets a pack of appliques or a lanyard.

Google Spreadsheet

Attached photographs of your setups would be nice too

Core unlocking is allowed, core disabling in order to change class is not. Nor can you disable HT in order to join a lower class.

1 cpu per class bar 2p players.

So can I kill all but two cores on my i7's an use those for the X2 class?

If not, can I at least kill HT and use them for the X4 class (considering that's going to be dominated by i5 750/760's anyway)?

And finally, any cooling limitations or should I add these to my next bench session?

EDIT: One more question: Does purchasing Geekbench give you x64 and thus a higher score? I feel like I've read this somewhere.

Just saw it has be be 32-bit. Sweet

I'll start learning the classy bios tomorrow & will get some water cooled scores in at least (to start with). Looks like I cooked a couple VRMs on the ud5, went to fire it up today & got some crackling & smoke out of them.
Not sure if it was the last bench session or me not letting the board dry out enough after freezing it. 2 boards down in 2 weeks, I'll have to be more careful with the new one.

Sorry matey you're going to have to play in the 8+ class. We couldn't cater to everyone this time but there is some method to our madness

BTW I wouldn't count on those lynfields in the x4 class

Sorry to hear of another gigabyte up in flames FTW cpu ok?

Benchmarks are downloaded and I have nothing going on today after work. I'll give them some preliminary water runs to see what I can do.

Then on to the dice
