Needing the Differnt TEMPS of Each 7900GT Cores

Thread Starter
I have a XFX 7900GT which is at 470MHZ Standard with a Temp Reading of 47c
under standard running of Windows, with the standard Heatsink and Fan unit.

XFX make four Differnt tupes of this Graphic Card 450 / 470 / 520 / 560MHZ all of which use the same core. I need to know the TEMP. of the other Three Cards using the same conditions STANDARD HEATSINK AND FAN with no OVERCLOCKING.

I am just compairing the differnt Temps. before I replace the Heatsink and Fan unit with a ZALMAN VF900-CU AND OVERCLOCK up to 560MHZ. This way I will know if the Zalman was a good reason to buy it and overclock the Graphic Card.

Purchasing a good aftermarket cooler is a very good idea. that is the way to go, OC that card to similar to the other factory ones and you have a card running at the same speeds as their more expensive counterparts.

I don't think you will see any difference in them all at stock speeds...mabye a degree or 2.

I have know fitted the Zalman VF-900 Heatsink and Fan unit to my 7900GT card.

1) TEMP. ( Standard Operating of Win. was 47c ) Now : 40c temp was meaured through using the control Pannel software Nvidia.
2) TEMP. measured through a Temp. Probe ( Standard Heatsink ) was 43c,
NEW 34c.

OVERCLOCKING :

1) Standard Core 470Mhz :
2) will only incase to 510Mhz top.

So anyone buying a XFX 7900GT from this company it does put differnt cores into there products, as they are not all the same core.
