Set RAM to DDR333 or DDR266 standards for a divider!

May I know your overclocking settings? I can't get a good over clock which makes my ram freq and my ghz larger.

You need to test the sticks out by themselves, you might have gotten a bad batch.

If 1 stick does not go over 250MHz on your computer then you can RMA it, if it runs at the stock 250MHz I really do know how that works

Pop each in and OC the PC until it does Post or load Windows, thats the only way to know how decent the RAM is, or the other possiblity is that your board doesnt like to go above a certain clock with the RAM at 1:1

So your new batch was able to oc over 250 now?

Mine can only go as far as 260MHz 5-5-10 and 255MHz 3-4-4-8 no matter what I do. As long as they perform at stock (what they are supposed to do) I don't think you can return them.

RAM came today and to any naysayers that say these sticks dont work well with A8N boards (not you sccr, but mainlythe G.Skill Tech on xtreme)

I have OC'd the sticks up to 270MHz @ 3-4-4-8 2T timings, I haven't tried any higher but so far it looks like I got 2 damn good sticks

Here's the CPU-Z validation
http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc?id=91392

This has been a good week so far

Time to go mod my case for water

Well the problem for A8N boards is not that they don't play well, but it won't work in 1T command. As an owner of both products I find that annoying. I also agree that they do go to 270MHz @ 3-4-4-8 2T timings, but 1T would be nice like on DFI boards.

You really do not notice a difference with 1T over 2T unless it's a few points in bandwith.

The G.Skill tech guy even states that if you're going over 260MHz you should keep it at 2T

There a neglible difference over the command rate at higher clocks. There was just a few of us that got a bad batch of sticks

I can go all the way to 275MHz 3-5-4-9 @ 2T, but if I wanted to run 2T I would have kept my tccd and run 4 sticks. Anyways, not saying that I'm not happy with them. I only need 240MHz and at that speed they can go as low as 3-4-3-6 1T, and having 2Gb of RAM far outweights minimal speed gains from low timmings.

Me with my 9x multiplier, I can't 1:1 with the ram. So pretty much, all I need is 240 also. But it would be nice to continue using the ram to its potential when I get an Opteron or something with igher multiplier.
