The thing is... it WAS at 2T

Edit, just tested other stick. Failed in 6 minutes in Prime.

:[ same settings. RMA time? If it doesnt stay at 250mhz with a 10x multi, then its able to rma?

Testing again with a 9x multi.

Now from what I hear A8N Series boards do not fair well with TCCD/UCCC chips, but so far so good and lets keep it that way

So if you've been looking into this set and have a A8N series board, I'm going to post my adventure and hopefully I can get it up to 270MHz.

My goal is to get my CPU above 3.0 and this RAM should let me do it. I'll report back in a little bit

Here's some Benchmarks as well for stock

3700+ - 2.2 GHz
RAM - 201 MHz
-----------------
READ - 6002 MB/s
WRITE - 4000 MB/s (not as accurate since I'm using Everest, so I have to kind of guess where it's at)
COPY - 4500 MB/s
LATENCY - 57.5 ns
firstly i have some plain old ddr400 dual channel kingston value ram and i have gotten it up to 2.76 with no problems with the exact same board. let me know if u have any trouble drop me a pm and ill help ya out it took me alot of trial and error to get this far

Yep, it is rated at 250. If it doesn't go 250, you RMA it. Maybe you will get better sticks this time.

So i just sent them an email about the ram.
Hopefully ill get some help to decide if i need to RMA or not.

Is this enough to say that i need to RMA?
Ram will not run at stock speeds (ddr500) at 3-4-4-8. Supplied with 2.7 voltage. Attempted at an x9 multiplier and 10x multiplier.

I just got a set from Newegg. One stick would boot at 1T, but the other would not boot at 1T; stock settings. I sent it back as DOA, didn't even bother to test 2T :O

Ok, well i just got an email back from the Gskill USA tech.

Im not sure if i want to RMA. should i? Heres what he put

Quote:
For Asus A8N SLI, because the design of the motherboard it is very hard to
reach DDR500. We can RMA the item for you but A8N SLI is no good for DDR500
or above for 2GB or over.
Help?? :]

No, Because you have a DFI board, and mines the A8N, so those settings you have wont work.

Thread Starter
The G.Skill tech is retarded. i posted on the site again to prove that i reached 270MHz on my A8N board. you jsut need to RMA the sticks and hope you get 2 good ones. it's not the board in the RAM sticks.

i would also, update the BIOS as well, but if it's not running stock send it back and hope to get a good set
