Drive and data strengths? tref etc.? Any links to some reference settings for this mem on DFI Expert, been searching on dfi street but it's not easy, lol.

There is an attached file at the end of the first post. It's a spreedsheet with several settings for the HZs. Give those a try.

Urufu try running the sticks at 2T, though you'll lose a little bit of performance they will be more stable, and if you can clock the sticks to 275MHz you'll over come the performance loss

I'm not to keen on DFI boards, but I might be switching over to a DFI board sometime soon, probably over the summer.

2T may be an option but I don't need them to run over 270 as that is as high as my cpu will go (270x10). I think they can do 270 with 1T, 16min prime stable with absolutely NO tweaking gives me hope.

16 minutes in Prime means nothing really. Run memtest; it usually shows errors after a single pass (if you have any).

I just got done tweaking my own HZ's today, I got it to be stable at 269 mhz, 3-4-4-8 1T, 2.6 volts. I could try raising it to 2.7, but I heard these sticks like 2.6, but I'll give it a shot anyway just for the heck of it. Also, my prime blend test failed a lot quicker than memtest. But, you could try running memtest once, and see which test you fail in, then only do that test. That's what I did for a while.

I'll probably keep these sticks at 269, because they fail at 270. I haven't tried 2T commands, but I'll do that next. If I do only get 269, then I'm going to work on my timings.

Maybe you guys find this interesting: in this review the reviewer, who is using an ASUS A8N SLI Premium, gets the HZ up to 297 @ 3-4-4-10 @ 2.8v.

It really all depends on the sticks you get and I dont think it's the Mobo's as much as the sticks...I fired my rig up fine with 270MHz, but did try to go higher.

I probably will later on, downloading stuff now so I can't keep restarting

These settings really helped because after taking my PC apart again I was unable to go over 250MHz...I didn't know why but I figured it must have been that my other timings had changed when I reset the CMOS

I set my Trfc timing to 14 and my Trc to 7 and I can go back above 250MHz. Before they were 10 and 9, respectively. So I would try those settings out for anyone with an Asus board and knows their sticks can do 250MHz

EDIT: I'm now booting successfully @ 280MHz

Well I got everything going @ 275MHz but then the Memtest killed me.

Everything was fine until test 7 and then errors were going crazy. I stopped when it reached 20 and knocked down the clock 5MHz. So it's testing now at 270MHz @ 2.97GHz and test 7 is half done with no errors.

I can live without the extra 5MHz. I pretty much gained it back by upping hte Mutli to 11x
