I'm not sure if it's modular or not but Antec's Neo HE 500 actually looks like it's a better value than the 550W. It's got triple rails just like the 550 except the amperage is divided evenly along all 3 rails versus (from what I remember) 20A, 18A, and 10A.

I looked at the Antecs, but a lot of users complained about short cables. I've got a full tower so this might be a problem.

the enermax liberty's are said to be awesome and same with the pc power and cooling PSU's, but they tend to be pricey...

I dont consider 1000 Norwegian krowns as cheap (160$), more like, as loki said, not inexpensive but more average. But who gives a damn about the price, if you care about the performance, which you probably do then the Hiper is the way to go. I can fill you in with specs on the cables if you wish? The Enermax Liberty is great, it's what I have and I love it

The hiper got a bad review for voltage drops on the 12v by toms hardware

That review is old and from the first generation of Hiper PSU's.

Hiper actually stop production completly to rectify the problem.

Yeah, thanks. Not really seen any issues with this psu with regards to cable length. As long as the PCI-E cable is about 50cm long then it should all be fine.

I'm unsure unless I pull it out and Measure it. But I do rember it is longer then the OCZ modular cable.

Well since its SLI certified it has two. One is directly put into the PSU which is approx. 35cm. Probably wont reach, BUT!! The other one uses two Molex 4-pin power connectors into a PCIe thing. Since theres TONS of 4-pin connectors and loads of duplicaters/extenders, the length wont be a problem because with these 4-pin things they will reach a combined length of your desired choice

Any other info you need? Blue is the coolest color btw

It should be okay thanks. We have the same mobo so I don't see any problems. Apparently it's about 45cm, which should just be okay.
Just seen that the new ones are SLI and ATX 2.2 compliant now as well so good for future upgrades.

Think I'll decide tomorrow on the Hiper or the Enermax. Thanks for your help everyone
