[Build] Tri To Quad 720

My brother recently shorted out his old motherboard, and decided it was time for an upgrade. He gave me a call and asked me what I could do for under $200. I instantly knew what I was going to do, AMD Phenom II X3 720 B.E. and Unlock it to a Quad core. I ordered the parts Friday and the parts came today!

The Newegg Box that held the awesome!

My Cat was intrigued.

Inside the box was the CPU and MOBO, GPU Pictured is his old 3850.

A Shot of his new MSI Motherboard.

The 720 resting in it's new home.

The Xigmatek Dark Knight Mounted.

Boot Test, to make sure the old ram was still good.

All the Drives Hooked back up

Everything put back into the case.

The Chip unlocked to a quad core like a champ, waiting to get a Screen shot from my brother.

Nice. I wish I had stuff that good lying around

Is there a reason the Dark Knight is mounted that way?

That's how they mount on to stock AMD sockets, I didn't want to bother with custom brackets.

nice one - the 720's are real performers.

i haven't even bothered to use the spare core on mine, even though it unlocks and runs stable with no probs. i just don't need it
