I hope you're joking about that not being tight!? If you would post some of the settings your using we might be able to help you oc what you have. I have the expert and geil one tccd, the expert is not tccd friendly but I've managed to get my X2 3800+ to 275x10 180 divider 2.5-3-3-5-2T (I'm priming it right now, been going for 3hours now) which gives me a super pi 1M time of 31.325s!! It has taken me a week and some serious hair pulling but dangit it's worth it. Besides, If it was easy to oc then I'd get real bored real fast (or spend waaaay too much money, cause face it, If we're not tweaking something we're dead, right?).

Thanks, I appreciate that, no I haven't gotten with ncsa directly but I have built off of a few of his posts. Ncsa, if you're out ther send me a pm if you're interested in how I have this set up. I've tried several different directions, 270x10 1:1 2.5-4-4-8 (stable but 1M of 32.583), 300x9 1:1 3-3-3-6 (stable with 1M of 32.968), I even had 310x9 1:1 3-3-3-6 unstable but 1M of 31.325! If my current is stable for more than 8 hours I will declare victory and post in the max stable oc thread and leave it the @#%* alone for awhile, lol.

Well, thats just it, the dfi's are fussy about all those "extra timings", what are the full timings you are using, I bet we can help you get that ram to run faster.

Welcome to my hell kitt3, i exactly know what u are talking about. on my msi mobo i can get a stable 2.97g but when i bought that ultra-d i could not get a stable 2.92g i tried every possible settings with ram. still no luck, ran memtest for hours with different settings and max speed on my ram which is 310mhz it passes memtest with no errors. but when i try to oc going above 2.95ghz it was a no go. so i ended sticking with my msi mobo. if ur ocz plat is good i dont see any reason why u should buy another ram and spend that money and turns out u cant go pass 2.95ghz it would be just a dissapointment and a waste of money, i say stick with what works for u, go back with the asus mobo and save ur money.

OFF TOPIC: urufu_shinjiro did u get that user name from BASILISK?

No, it's purely a japanese name of no particular origin or significance. I do historical re-enacting/re-creating with the Society for Creative Anachronism, or www.sca.org

no my friend this ram sucks i have googled it. Its some kind of hynix chip that can be overclocked only to 230 with 2.9 vdimm with loosend timings.

umm my goal is not to hit higher overclock, the reason i need new ram is cuz.. its running on aggressive divider of 333mhz. WHich means iam losing alots of performance. Also ocz has never been friendly with dfi so maybe its my reason of why i cannot go higher overclock. New ram and a divider of ddr 400 overclocked to ddr 460 would get me hell of performance. I dont really care about benching all i need performance.
yeah yeah...

Any RAM can do DDR500 or beyond with the right timings Kitt try (just for trying's sake) to run it at 3.0vDimm with 4-4-4-10 timings or something very relaxed like that and see how high you can get, of course you will want better RAM that will run with CL2 at DDR450-500 or maybe even CL3 because timings can make or break and AMD system.
