thanks alot! I've found my sweet spot on my chip now and doing some stress testing only to have it shut down a few minutes ago due to overheat isssues :s....this cooler isn't up to extreme heat for a long time but it can handle everyday usage....

My Rampage 2 Gene have a Bclk wall at 225.

turned it down to 222, and did a Vantage run.


somebody know what bclk wall the rampage 3 gene have?

Anyone lucky with ~4.2GHz ?

I'm really considering to replace my 1055T platform with this one , Because of the higher IPC those nehalems provide . But 6 cores VS. Higher IPC makes it hard to decide

If you get a god motherboard 4.2GHz won't be far away.
Mine E5620 does 4.3GHz max on Rampage 2 Gene.

vcore for 4.2-4.3GHz was 1.33V

Need a re-run for the 4.3GHz. playing with the R3G at the moment so it have to wait.

This is on Gigabyte X58A-UD3R ver.2.0 Bios FF2 obtained @ Tweaktown forums
Cooling is Zalman CNPS10 Flex w generic 1200rpm Coolermaster Blue LED fan .

I've owned 2 of these cpu's and kept this one ( higher clocking ).
