I sure hope this is in the right category,

AMD PHENOM X6 1055T
-
XFX ATI RADEON HD 5770
-
G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800)
-
THERMALTAKE FRIO
-
GLADIATOR 600
-
ASRock 870 EXTREME3 AM3 AMD 870 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard
-
SAMSUNG F3 1TB 3GB/S
-
CORSAIR 750-Watt TX Series 80 Plus Certified Power Supply
-
ASUS DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS Black SATA 24X DVD Burner - Bulk - OEM

I plan to be able to run new games like metro, at at least console quality.

so a few questions:

How good is this build 1/100?
Do you think I should go with another graphics card?
Is this a good gaming rig?
Anything else would you suggest?

I would upgrade the graphics card to at least a 460,
But yes it is a very capable gaming rig. Unless you wanted to get a higher end motherboard or a SSD youre all set

Its a good gaming rig, keep the video card.

Whats a thermaltake frio? CPU cooler?

I'd get a better one, Cooler master 212+.

What would I get out of a higher end mobo?

I really only buy from AMD, Plus my mobo doesn't support nvidia does it?

I would like the 460, but it's nvidia.

I like how amd adds multiscreen displays and etc etc... I know the 5830 or the 5850 is around the same as the 460, but the 460 can OC easy...

It supports a single card from whoever. A better mobo might get higher OC's and will support XFire or SLI in the future depending on the Motherboard.

5830 is a little worse than the 460, but nVidia does the multiple displays now too (its called surround vision)

Is it just as good as ATI's eyefinity?

Can you suggest a better mobo?

This mobo supports xfire...

looks like a solid build but if the its mainly for gaming and your not going to do anything else that's hard core like video rendering I would get a better graphics card and downgrade the cpu to a 955 that way you'll still say somewhere around the same budget....metro is one of the pc games that demands a lot from a system ....
I'm not sure how could the thermal take frio is I would get something like the noctua nh-d14 or the H70 if you want to reach 4ghz...here's a good link which shows the best cpu coolers and best budget cpu coolers
http://www.overclock.net/air-cooling...ered-here.html
So, I think you should go with a different video card since this is a primarily gaming rig

Also for the power supply I would ask people in the power supply forum because you don't need 750 watts I would get a better quality 650 watt even though the power supply you listed is good to...your system probably uses about 400watts or less

Edit: also that picture you posted it could be biased. I've never heard of that cpu cooler and I would get one of the more popular ones that I listed....just check the link i gave you
the CM 212+ is a great cpu for a budget cooler but it might be hard to reach 4ghz on it
