A8N-E Utilities?

Thread Starter
What are people using for system utilities for this board? I loaded MBM but it doesn't appear to support any of the A8N series from ASUS. I've got CPUz loaded and it appears to work ok, tells me I have a AMD64 3400+ NewCastle. Anyone know of any probs with this utilities ability to correctly id chips? If this truly is the build of my chip anyone know what the max voltage and MHz are? I'm running now at 1.55v and 2200Mhz (200x11). My understanding is that limits my Ram to 400Mhz vs dropping my multi back to like 9-10 and increasing speed to 233 allowing my Ram to go up to 500. How then does HTT fit in to this equation?

Lot of questions, perhaps too many for one thread sorry.

Ram speed is calculated by FSBx2, therefore at 233 FSB your ram would be 233x2=466 (DDR466) 466mhz.

Keep your HTT under 1000mhz for stability. To find your HTT, it is FSBxHTT Multi. If you ran your system at 233, it would be 233x5 default which is 1165. Turn it down to x4 until you pass 250 FSB, in which case you'd get to x3.

A 3400+ Newcastle doesnt exist for socket 939, and I dont think there is any 3400+ 939. Do you have the newest version of cpu-z?

Get speedfan for your temperatures and fan speeds, or everest home which is very good too.

I've been looking around the forum here and it does appear that the NewCastle does come on a 939 form factor with the 13nm technology. This chipset seems to be defaulted at 1.55v. What is the max volts I can take this to when I OCing? I don't want to blow up my chip or my MOBO.:***:
