7900GT overclocking help.

I have RivaTuner, and I installed my 7900GT and RivaTuner 2.0 doesn't seem to be able to do much with it. How do I go about overclocking my 7900GT?

I posted a thread about overclocking software for the 7900GT. I have the same problem with Rivatuner, but I've been using coolbits and thats working well. Other members have been saying they've been able to overclock their cards using atiTool.

I got the overclock section to appear, but I am having overclocking problems. It will not let me go past 560Mhz core and 784Mhz memory. But I can't imagine that that is my limit because my GPU temperature is 33C (watercooled). Wh y can't I push it any further?

Water-cooling is only useful for keeping the temperatures down. The reason phase gives such a benefit is because it lowers the electrical transmigration effect through the "Freeze". Now stability of the processor is often comprimised when temperatures are easily within specs. I'm certain you have seen this. You could do a volt-mod and increase the "Push" and thus the MHz though.

There's a very very very easy pencil mod here (only for vmem though):
http://www.vr-zone.com/?i=3330&s=2

I would recommend using a multimeter/volt meter before and after penciling the resistor to make sure you don't increase voltage too much at a time.

If you want to increase vgpu (core), you will probably have to solder.

I'm not responsible for damage...just provided link, lol.
