Hi Duke, I was surprised at the actual Vcore reading as well. If I set the Vcore at 1.525 in the bios, it reads 1.52V in windows and 1.54V in the bios. However with a voltmeter the figure is actually 1.55V when idle and 1.57V when at full load! So even though I thought I had another 0.08V to play around with, it turns out to actually only be around 0.03V.

Hi, the setting is 1.525VID with a VID special 104%. This should give around 1.54V (as it does in the bios) however windows underestimates this value and the multimetre proves that it is actually a fair bit higher. I notice tht you have the same motherboard as me, have you ever tried measuring the Vcore and compared it to the windows/bios readings?

Well at the moment 1.575V-1.60V seems to be storming into the lead. This is quite a bit lower than what the peops on DFI-street are suggesting (1.625-1.65 is ahead at the minute). Here is the similar thread posted by me on dfi-street:
