My P4 presscott overclocked to 4.0GHz with a 1.44 Vcore gets up to about 50ºC...I think I could get better temps if i reseat the BT, but i'm to lazy and they are fine where they are.

keep in mind my clock speeds are alot higher than you guys with the AMD's

that seems a little high for a northwood under extreme air cooling. but as long as ur load doesn't go about 50 ur fine. I also see ur running stock voltage and getting that temp. I'd try reseating the heatsink and reapplying as5

even a nice OC without increasing the voltage will raise the temps....i mean think about it, the chip is pushing the same voltage but more times per cycle hence the increase in temperature. somebody correct me if i'm wrong

changing the clock speed has little to no effect on temprature. Increasing the Vcore is what increases temps in overclocks.
