Comp connecting to wrong IP

I was just happily using my computer and the internet just stopped on me. The computer i was using was connected to a netgear router via ethernet cable. My other computer runs on an USB wireless adapter and works just fine..... plz help

First check to make sure you have link lights on the router and PC. If so your CAT5 cable is prolly OK.

Next:

Click Start, then Run and type cmd, hit enter.

At the prompt type ipconfig /release

Then

ipconfig /renew

That should take care of it. Let me know.
