Pheonix Award v1011, won't lock settings!!!

Thread Starter
Anyone esle having trouble with this bios locking settings?

Everytime I go into the 'Jumperfree Config' and change something, it resets all of my 'DRAM Config' settings to default. Jumperfree has all of the CPU core spd & voltage settings as well as multiplier settings, but the DRAM has my RAM spd...

This is really, REALLY ANNOYING!!!:swearing:

Hello and welcome to the Forums Haskell,

What is your BIOS version? Have you tried flashing to a different BIOS? That would piss me off too so I understand your anger.

I'm running an ASUS A8N-E with the Phoenix Award 1011.04 version. This is the latest and greatest from their website.

Are your chipset drivers V6.65 or later? Have you tried flashing to a previous BIOS that didn't have this problem? I assume that you didn't always have this problem? When did it begin to occur?

The Asus BIOS can be a little tricky at times. Changing some things may return others to Auto.
Take a peek at ncsa's referance to them in the AN8 SLI...
"BIOS Settings:
As with any MB the BIOS is the key to taking control and ensuring that the MB does what you require. Unfortunately the Asus MB has some idiosyncrasies which will cause you frustration and confusion as you will see later on."
http://www.overclock.net/faqs/38169-...roduction.html

Probably a simular issue with your MB.
