AGP to PCI-E

Thread Starter
I really want to make the step up from AGP, but for a while I will need to hold on to my AGP card till I can purchase a good PCI-E card. Anybody know of any good mobo's that support both AGP and PCI-E?

As of now I don't there is any motherboard that can utilize both. Sorry. But you can still save for the pci-e card and just run your old system can't you?

there are a few boards that do...but they are typically terrible boards for overclocking and gaming.... so my suggestion is just save up and the the motherboard and the card at once.....

This One has AGP and PCIe. It's no LANparty, but they should do 140Mhz+ FSB.

If I were you I wouldn't make any more upgrades until M2 comes out. Because then, even if you don't want to go to M2, 939 hardware will be cheaper.

I'd just sell your agp card on Ebay (I got 220$ usda for my x850pro with 16 pipes open) and get get a PCI-Express card. I bought a eVga 6800GS for 150$ and actualy made 70$, and I get better preformace from it.

Thats what I did, and I'm super glad I did. I haven't heard too many good things about mobo's the have both interfaces....
