[BD]Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine latest game confirmed for Steamworks

Developer Relic Entertainment only recently confirmed that its upcoming third person action game Warhammer 40,000 Space Marine would be coming to the PC. Now comes word via Shacknews that the title is the latest game that will use Valve's Steamworks platform for things like auto-updates, achievements and more.

Even though the game was just recently revealed as coming to the PC platform, PC Gamer reports that the PC will actually be the lead platform for Space Marine

Oh wow. I was planning to get this on PS3, but since it's coming to PC, i guess i'll not get it on the crappy console

100% agreed with Razi3l - I was disappointed that I thought I would have to get it for my PS3, now I shall get it on PC.

Now we can all play as one of the greatest brothers in the greatest chapter of the greatest army of the most grimdark thing we've seen. /sarcasm
I want to be a Nob or something, not a lame SPESS MAHREN.
This being on steam means I'll actually buy it though.

FOR THE EMPRAH!

I had a feeling Relic would push THQ to use Steamworks, they did this with Dawn of War 2. I'm not fond of having games linked to online accounts but at least Steam is the lesser of all the evils. Plus Relic actively support Dawn of War 2, and have always released regular patches and updates for their games prior to using Steam. Activision on the other hand...

DoW 2 uses GFWL for multiplayer and steam for updates. GFWL sucks pretty bad.

Do we at least get to play as something other than the ultramarines? They are the most boring main chapter IMO.
