Drop your FSB to 180 mhz. Your pci buss is too far out of sync which is causing your HDD corruption.

fsb 170 drops cpu to 2800+, so ill lose power...but ill gain stability? anyway, ive decided to throw in a couple hundred to upgrade mobo n processor to a amd64 754 3000+
hopefully this will clock a bit better wen i get new ram
