Problem

Thread Starter
I recently have been running my PC at 2200 GHz, its an AMD Barton 2500+ It is running OC'd at 55 max temp during 6-8 hours of hardcore gaming. One night flash flickered and I got a problem..tried rebooting and it said.."please connect power to your ATI Video Card", I thought it had burnt up on me. it booted up fine with a 5200+, I repopped the 9800 PRO 128MB in there and it worked fine. What was the problem, did it over heat? I had the VcoreA Voltage running at +10% resulting in 1.85 V but it was steady, not sure what the problem was. I didn't have any extra power going to my video card. I currently took my PC off of 2.2Ghz and I'm running now again at 1.85 GHz I was really appreciating my 2.2 GHz speed and it was running smoothly, where is the problem? Sorry for the uhm...disorganization of this post, currently minimized playing D&D atm .

PS: Whats the best way to uninstall video drivers and re-install new. If somone could give me a link to the newest ATI drivers..and Catalyst control center, it would be very much appreciated, thanks!

I'm guessing it was your PSU. It might have overvolted and shutoff power in some areas to save itself.

I've had plenty of problems in the past with my 9800xt overheating. Taking the side panel off and blowing a fan always worked The best way to uninstall video drivers is to download driver cleaner 3 and boot into safe mode. Uninstall the old drivers and reinstall the new ones. This place will give you anything you need:
