DualGPU means its 2 cards on one board means it's Crossfire means it sucks at scaling...

+Single card means: Single gpu or dualgpu on one pcb. smartass.

honestly your posting in a disrespectful manner is what is gonna be the downfall of this thread.

on topic, GTX 295 folds the fastest, so it could be considered the fastest single video card

off topic, they have classes in humility at the YMCA

The OP in NO way is a dick at all.

hes just sick of the kids that have run OCN into the ground with this exact bullcrap going on in this thread.. The off topic post, the ATI fanboys coming in, ATi sucks at folding... etc etc

When he asked whats BEST single fasted card in the world right now..

Which be

GTX 480 Single PCB
Or 5970 which is Single PCB as well, but really dual as its 2 on 1.

See, a real answer.

So everyone who did not help the OP, your a dick, and that's why OCN is going downhill because of people that talk like that.

EDIT:Wow, soon as I post that, some moron comes in here and now wants to start a little flame war. MORON, your the problem!! not the OP asking a legit question!

Look OP, quit trying to pick fights. If you really did 2 minutes of research you would know the answer so I'm going to call you a troll. But I'm going to feed you because I feel bad for idiots sometimes. The ASUS Ares is the single fastest card It technically has Crossfire enabled because it has two GPUs on a single PCB. If you want to disqualify it because of that then you also have to disqualify all 5970s as they're the same thing (two GPUs on a single PCB). SO here is the best cards in order. Remember I'm only counting cards available to the public (even though idk anyone who owns an Ares haha):
ASUS Ares
5970
GTX 480

Like I said earlier the top two have two GPUs on a single PCB so are technically running crossfire so those two aside the single most powerful single GPU card is the 480. If the Galaxy dual 104 GPU were available I'm pretty sure it would be king but there are no benchmarks for it. Also the fully unlocked 480 (485 maybe?) provides only marginal gains over the normal 480 with A LOT more heat and power consumption. But like the Galaxy one it isn't available therefore doesn't make the list. Here is a comparison between Cypress and Fermi. The ASUS Ares is not included in this trial.

I owned the Ares and the ****er bent my motherboard.
Got rid of that piece of lead the day after.
