Help me with Ram

Thread Starter
I just bought all this today, its going to be my second build...
AMD64 4000+ 2.4 single core
two xFx 7600gt GeForce video cards
Demon 580 watt power source
ASUS Sli Premium mobo
Thermaltake A1744 VENUS12 Performance CPU Cooler
WD Raptor 150GB 10,000rpm HDD

What RAM should i buy if I'm going to overclock my system?
I have 4 slots to fill... money is not really an issue; Go Army lol.

yes pc 4000 ram will work, your board is rated at pc3200, but you can put any ram that is faster than pc3200 in it, it will just run at pc3200 speeds. the advantage of this is it gives you a big overhead to oc before pushing the ram any...

and for timings, the lower the numbers, the tighter/faster.

dual channel works in pairs, so if you use all 4 sticks, yes it will run in dual channel, but the cheap ram may hinder the overclock as they may not be able to go as high as the new ram you may be buying...

dual chanel as far as i know doesnt make for higher OC's, but it does have higher performance than the ram running in single channel.

PS: and the link above, is exactly what i reccomended earlier... its great stuff!
