How do you you check voltage of X800?

Hiya! I have an X800 Pro VIVO and want to voltmod it, but is there any way of easily checking the voltage of the graphics card? Would I basically sign a death warrent for my GFX card if I do the voltmod (with pencil) without a multimeter?

Thanx for that link Xie67 it is very helpful! I have got a new gfx cooler, the Zalman VF700-AlCu and it works a treat Pretty easy to install and very effective at what it does! I think coolers definitly make a difference to overclockability. Before getting the zalman i could only clock to about 515/540 before i would get artifacts, but now i have been able to get XT PE setting and then some!! I'm keeping it at 520/560 for the moment, but next week i will try this voltage mod. I've seen some out standing 3DMark05 benchmarks scores in the 7000's with core speeds of 600+ so remain optimistic as to what I can get at the moment when i try to OC to 535 the card locks up and i have to restart, hopefully the voltmod will improve that.
Have you tried voltmodding?

Yes my old 9700pro got the voltage modification treatment.

One word of warning is to make sure you are using a suitable soldering iron for the application and your skills are up or at least your hands are steady LOl. You dont want to introduce anymore heat into the components than you require.

If it is the first time you have done this locate an old graphics/video card that has seen it's day and have a little practice at how much heat and solder is required to remove the components and to attach what is required.
It will just give you a bechmark to work from before you take the iron to your good PCB.

cheers and good luck ( understand the guide fully first)
