If you have that old of a motherboard, i would buy a new one. But anyway, fill your system specs in your User CP, we have no idea what you are working with. I suggest no less than 256mb RAM for your GPU. Look here for an assortment of cards. I suggest this. AGP has passed it's prime, it is old and has been surpassed by PCI Express x16.

On low settings, probably. But it won't be a big step up. I would reccomend saving up some cash and making the leap to PCI Express.

I am no expert at ATI, but last i knew the 9xxx series should run current stuff at medium settings.

I know he is from UK, I was showing him some products. That doesn't mean he has to buy them from newegg. There might be lag, that is why you bump down the settings a little.

to Overclock.net Jordan.

For F.E.A.R. I know an ATI compared to a 6800GS will do an excellent job.

As for your price range, not sure if the prices have gone down a lot in the X800XT in the U.K. but they're dirt cheap now here in the U.S.. Anyhow I would recommend an X800XT.

As for the 9800Pro 256MB? I think it may be able to play it but with med-detail settings. But I think I'd much rather have an X800XL than a 9800Pro 256MB because you may find that the next game you would like it may be too much for a 9800Pro 256MB, kinda like a....baby steps, just take a big jump, IMO and buy either a X800XT or X800XL.
