can you play starcraft 2 without an internet connection?

Thread Starter
So, I just moved in to a new apartment and I don't have internet connection yet (or I do have a ****ty portable connection in my laptop but it doesn't count) but I recently bought Starcraft2. Today I installed the game and I was able to do the authentication through my laptop to get the game installed. SO I was hoping to get to try the campaign in offline mode but when I double clicked the icon to start the game it want's to install a patch which obviously requires an internet connection which I don't have yet.

Is there any possible way to skip this patch and play the campaign mode without a solid internet connection?

Thanks

P.S. I've googled this problem but I find this site more reliable than "Yahoo Answers" ^^

There are ways around the no internet connection, but it all comes down to hacks that were written by RAZOR1911 and RELOADED. Due to TOS on this forums I can't give you a direct link but I can say go to Demonoid or your favortie torrent site and search for cracks posted by the 2 above. It will allow you to bypass battle.net and play on 3 different guest logins. All 3 require no internet.

if you live in an apartment theres a good chance someone has as unsecured network, not sure if you have wireless, or a wireless usb. just thought throw that out there. when my girlfriend lived in an apt i could always get onto someones network on my laptop.

It's illegal to use bandwidth of other people's networks, of which they haven't put passwords on?

Is it illegal for you to help yourself to the contents of my car just because I left the doors unlocked? If I don't have a fence in my yard, is it okay grab the hose and use my water?

Using a unsecured connections is technically legal, get over it.

Or if your neighbors have WEP encryption, it takes a whole 5 minutes to crack it with packet injection (if your WiFi card supports that). But THIS IS ILLEGAL, so I'm not condoning your actions.
