I think you may be able too. It may depend on your mobo. I am reasonably sure I could if I wanted to on my DFI.

yeah if i was going to raid it would be basically yours becuase im getting an80 gig WD for windows and games and use my orignal for music and files and stuff.

i keep forgetting what does 0/1 do. i know one is mirroring where its like a backup, and one is striping where it like splits the data but what do you need to do both
cant complain..

0/1 is like raid 0, which stripes, but all your data is on another drive, the mirroring/raid 1 part, so if one fails you have a backup.

I can run ide and sata drives ion raid on my dfi, but asrocks site was a little vauge on raid options. I do advise you look into it though.

yeah it would be only 50 bucks more, but i want less for windows and games and more for music and stuff, becuase i want to have windows and important stuff on one,so if i get a virus on the one i download on i wont have to do anything. so unless im mirroring, having a bigger hd for games doesnt make sense
cant complain..

Thread Starter
One last question though, how could CMOS affect Windows behavior and does removing the battery and using the jumper have the same effect?
Thanks, cya tommorow.

No, I would put the ide hdd as the master and the dvd drive as the slave.
