Are you kidding? Hmmm... It never asked for a mobo type before? I have installed it on multiple computers... Well, I may test it with a spare harddrive first.

It dosen't, it dose it automaticly without asking. One more reason to go open sorce. I hate MS, more games need to be written for linux.

They dont ask which is sneaky they upload your system specs to there servers when you are online and your Cd-key is stamped to your Current hardware config and when you change it you bummed and have to phone microsoft to register your OS.

It does what automatically?

I have installed this same copy of windows on a few computer (shhh!)... Never had a problem before.

I think they give you a limited amount of Installs..Well hardware changes as such i remember using my oem about 5 times then i had to start calling microsoft so i know what you mean.

It was 5 for me with xp home. Then they flag your account and they make you call. I think that you can do back to not calling in after a certain amount of time after your last install.

I would go to western digital and download (Data Lifeguard & Smart Drive) when you format your Raptor. It helps to use WD programs on there Hardware plus if you go into a RAID array they have you covered there as well. Just adding a little more to the table, hope it helps?
