Modding a Maxtor MODEL No: USB2040ROM0001

I don't know what the name of the drive is and it's burnt out so I figured for my first mod I will mod a non-working drive (cause I have no idea about computers pretty much) yes I am a noob.

but here some pics if u guys have any TIPS for me I would really appreciate it thanks!

Note My Camera broke sorry for no pics

Heh, I would try getting a free replacement from the manufacturer or place of purchase before I modded it. I dont know if you can do this or not but it is always worth a try.

It Fryed along time ago, when I plug it in it lights up but doesn't reconize on the computer. everyone is telling me that it was from when I kept unpluging it andpluging it in and I only did it once or twice so it can't be it.

note: my dad baught it like in 2000 so it's a peice of **** pretty much, probably 10 Gig. I can't mod it yet because my dad said there is still stuff on the drive probably hacks for my old game I used to play America's Army . So pretty much nothing of use.
