The Batarian heavy melee is devastatingly phenomenal, however it's slow as ****. Often the enemy pulls off a complete melee move on me before my guy finishes checking the time, yawns, scratches his junk, and texts his bro, then gets around to hitting the enemy. Which is starting to piss me off with this Cerberus/Gold weekend with all these Phantoms... A few times they interrupt my attack and execute their own move leaving me dead which is BS.

This. I played with the Batarian for a few rounds, but like snuff said, the heavy melee takes forever. The biotic punch heavy melee and the krogan heavy melee are my personal favorites, as the biotic punch one will actually knock an enemy back even if you don't kill him, and you can almost immediately heavy melee again. The krogan heavy melee is just awesome.

Ahhhh yes, I forgot about the weekend event! I'm starting to get over my irrational fear of phantoms, although it has since been replaced by an irrational fear of Atlases. What am I supposed to do as a Vanguard? Run up and start headbutting it? The only thing that seems to have any effect is Carnage, and that doesn't seem to do very much damage...

Another thing: For Guardians, is there a better strategy than shooting at their legs/arms? I always find myself having to get behind them or hoping somebody else will come up behind them and take them out.

Depends on your kit and how you play. I generally just shoot through the eye slot, though as a vanguard shockwave is really handy for knocking the shield out of the way. Though my Batarian Soldier has a Revenant and armour piercing mod so he just sprays and lets them get torn to pieces.

For once I'd like to try a silver mission where some idiot with a level 2 human adept with an N7 score of fifteen doesn't show up and ruin the entire thing.

Na man, silver is easy if you can play SP on insanity you should be able to solo those with a little clever strategy.
Not sure if your on my FL or not (Overlay bugged out and hasn't worked in months) but add SnuffThePunkz if you havent, we'll play a few rounds and maybe hit up a few gold rouns.

I only play silver and gold so we can play if you want, I beat silver by myself a couple of times. Gold has some strategies that make it easy so if you want to play add me: Darktrooper78

Ok, so I need to have my thoughts on the indoctrination theory.... I'm not sure how many spoilers have been posted in this thread but I'll keep it fairly hidden apart from the obvious bits...

Once Shepard gets Warning: Spoiler and a large image!! (Click to show)
smacked down by Harbinger's Laser in London, that image is burned into her mind. [best image I can find of the scene]--> 338
This scene is layed out remarkably similarly to the final god catalyst ghost child MAKE A CHOICE! scene

My explanation for this, and it links in with the IT, is that the choices are simple. This scene is completely an Indoctrination-induced metaphor, based solely on Shepards last memory of the previous London scene.
Control (Click to show)
Turning her back on Harbinger, and the beam. This is 'giving up', and accepting Indoctrination - indicated by the outstretched arms as she grabs the conduits
Synthesis (Click to show)
Walk forward, and this is effectively Shepard accepting the fate of walking up the shiny beam to be taken up to the Citadel and goo-ifyed into a new reaper
Destroy (Click to show)
Walk to the right, and shoot repeatedly, indicates Shepard actively aiming towards Harbinger (this is where Harbinger was when it lasered her) and firing off shots, as if to destroy it, thus denouncing the Indoctrination.

Discuss biggrin.gif

Also, the MP is much better than I imagined. I'm almost more attached to my Quarian Infiltrator than I am my Femshep eek.gif

I have just completed it in the last week, and I suggest you wait thumb.gif

Or at least play it very slowly. You'll know once you're nearing the conclusion, then slow down.

They've suggested a "summer" release, so considering ME3 was touted for a "Holiday 2011" release, my guess would be between October->March 2013 eh-smiley.gif
