Even if ya didn't, having extra characters to develop adds to replay value. Methinks Bioware be losing their touch.

How can you focus your relationship with each of the squad mates? Just a few examples where you hit a wall : Zaeed and Kasumi. These characters had one loyalty mission and the same conversations all over again. The majority of characters, Tali, Miranda, etc where way better done with the real possibility of focusing your relationship. I used Zaeed and Kasumi only in their loyalty missions, for the rest, I forgot about them.

I like the idea of reducing the number of characters. Instead of running around the universe for them, I'd rather focus more on the Reapers and means at fighting back.

My biggest fear about ME3 is that it will just continue to be dumbed down. I thought the gear selection, customization, and modification in ME1 was awesome. ME2 dumbed it down to a handful of weapons. I'm afraid this is being dumbed down to a "call of mass effect" style game...

For someone who played ME2 first and not ME1, I can say that I hated the ME1 inventory system. I wanted a compromise in between and Casey Hudson assured us we will get that compromise. Have some faith in BioWare, don't think they will do a Dragon Age 2 on us

That's true, it does.

Those two you can't, but you can with the others. I did all the loyalty missions and talked to them all often. I didn't like that the DLC characters couldn't be talked to like with the others. I just want 8-12 squad mates!

not buying because of "low texture"?
a GOOD game was NEVER about "gorgeous graphics"...

playing KotOR for the first time after ME1 and ME2 can be a turnoff because of its dated graphics and screen resolution options, but I ignored it it's still one of THE BEST games I've ever played simply because the story and the whole gameplay was amazing... who cares about crappy graphics and "unable to play in higher resolution" when it's not what a "game" is about?

you're not "playing a game" if you're going after eye candy...

besides, I can BET you that there WILL be higher resolution patches and textures to be added in from the dedicated mod community

Yeah, if they make ME3 something in the middle it would be perfect (well, almost)!

And don't worry, they sure did learn on DA2's mistakes

Now that I started ME1 I've noticed a lot of DA2 repetitions. Most of the side missions happen in bunkers with identical layout. They solved this in ME2 but lacked precision in the story. I also want BIOWARE to make my choices matter in ME3. In my current ME1 playthrough, I am paying extra attention to the choices I make and I want to be able to use the rachni against reaper indoctrinated soldiers. A few of the ME1 side missions have rachni and those are very difficult to kill . Add to that the Broodwarriors and you get the picture why they almost wiped out life in the universe.

I recently played ME3 at rAge in South Africa. I invite all interested parties to ask questions about umm...gameplay or lack thereof. I sound like a bad marketer.

Oh yeah, rAge was awesome. Sucked that there was only one ME3 station though. I only got to play for like 10 mins on Saturday.
