Post pics of your Farm - Page 17

hmm. i don't fold anymore after i built my new rig that soaks up an entire breaker for itself leaving no more room for other rigs.

i have 5 odd pentium 4 rigs i usedto boinc with. most of them are disabled and/or disassembled. but i'll go take some pics.

but AMD SLI guru, that thermaltake NB cooler you have there on the exposed board 2nd pic down actually broke a pair of standoffs rendering my abit IS7-m worthless lol. probably cheap solder and shock.

Even just SMP on your sig rig would be amazing and not use too much more power

oh trust me i know... it's horrible. What's even worse is the AMD 9500 quad core trying to fold. It's horrible. That's why I made it into a router, because it's so slow, there is no point in using it for folding.

yeah... I'm thinking about selling the 4870 because that is just horrible for PPD. I also will never use it since I have my 5830s. I'm just considering on just jumping on just getting 9800GT's or more GTS250's. From my experience, they are just solid cards and pump out good PPD for cost (sub $100).

GX2s are around $100 used

And the PhX4 9500 is still probably better for folding than my C2D P8600, which folded 24/7 until recently

if it broke the standoff's, I would honestly be happy. That board is honestly a nightmare... there are only 1 slot for a cooling fan and that's being use by the north bridge cooler, which makes me have to get adapters and it's just stupid. It was honestly the worst mistake I've ever made when going to frys.

I thought I was buying an ATU 3300 GPU on the motherboard, and instead I got the 2series GPU on the motherboard. just horrible... and combine that with a 9500 AMD quad core clocked at 2.2 ghz and overclocked to an amazing 2.35 ghz. Really was MY BIGGEST MISTAKE EVER!

I'll need to keep my eyes out for them. The problem I have with wanting to get them is that they seem to have a problem with breaking and having to bake them or you're out 100 bucks. :-/ Idk why those kinda card keep breaking but I just don't want that happening to me.

Here is my sig rig, it is currently running out of the case, and my overclock settings accidentally got overritten so I'm back at 3.2 until I get time to overclock it again. It gets about 15,000ppd.

This is my HTPC/Folding build, its a q6700 and an 8800gt. It gets around 10,000ppd, unfortunately at the moment its not running, because the 8800gt needs baked again.

Now that I'm at college with free power and air conditioning I have been running both rigs 24/7.
