How big is your budget? If you have a stable job or whatnot, its better just to wait it out and save up. Wait a couple months the prices will drop.

Buying used parts is also a good money saver, but you gotta know what you're getting yourself into with used parts.

Hope that helps a lil. Have with with your first build

I'd say NEVER buy used part unless. Its so easy for some n00blet to rape them with ESD. But thats just me being quite paranoid and tight with my money.

If you put a 6200 in any computer you deserve to be slapped with a smelly fish.
I've had to put up with my POS 6200SE TC for a year, and i cant take its ****ass performance anymore.

7900GTX 512 ARRIVING AT MY HOUSE TOMORROW! YAY!

Try and get an awesome gfx card. Having a crap one really sucks =(

For easy OC'ing i recommend a 3200+ or 3500+ Venice. You might want to stretch to the 3700+ san diego, but im not sure how well they OC.

If you are into gaming go AMD.......if you are into DVD ripping/burning/encoding and everyday multi-tasking go for Intel.

Notes:
-Make sure you buy a PCI-E video card.....not AGP
-Don't buy POWMAX Power Supplys......anyone here with 2 functional brain cells will tell you this
-Don't skimp out with a cheap-o mother board.
-You don't need a sound card unless you are a complete audiophile.
-Make sure you have atleast 1gb of ram

Hope this helps

Aspire makes quality cases, despite what some say. The PSU it came with is good quality as well, (500W something) you won't need to replace it. I've had mine for ~ 5 months.
I reccommend

It's the one I use anyhow. It comes in many colors, but when I bought mine the black/blue (front) wasn't in stock.

Yeh i'm not sure I might just get a new PSU and throw the one away it came with or put it in this comp i'm using.

and Fatal I do both have anything I can do with that?

I play FEAR and while playing I useally have Windows Media player open along with other stuff.
that case is fine
  • BFG Nvidia 6200 Graphics Card PCI - I allready have [ get a 6800gs or GT] Unless you dont plan on playing any games.
  • Not Sure What MotherBoard I want
  • 2 20 MM Fan or Somthing like that.[ 120mm fans]
  • Sleeving - Orange
  • Black Lighting, and Blue Lighting
  • Orange Paint Job
  • 20" LCD Moniter [get a 17inch and try and get a better video card]
  • Basic Speakers For Now
  • Windows XP
  • Overclock Everything
  • 2 maybe 3 Gigs of memory [ get 1 gig and contribute the rest to the video card]
I would recomend working on the cosmetic side after you have a tight rig. Dont bother with the lights and sleeving untill after you have some quality components. Skip the things I made purple.

I think I might get two gigs, because my comp had 1 gig on it but my bro stole the 512 Stick he is working on his comp to and I said he can have one of my mem sticks.

but even then my graphics card wasn't at it's best I think my computer right now is bottlenecking it or somthing.

but recently since I OCed it then un OCed it it's been running greati'm running the 6200 OC on FEAR with Shadows and everything on and still can record at 15 FPS possibly with Fraps.
